Mission:
Our goal is to build a school in Hato Nuevo, Manoguyabo, Districto Federale, in the Dominican Republic. With this the children of the community will have a safe, comfortable place to learn from their teacher Daniela Jose who has been teaching there for approximately 9 years. Currently she teaches 120 children ages 4-17 and feeds them daily with donations that she receives. What she currently has in place as the school building is a large blue tarp over a large mango tree branch.
Vision
We believe that all children deserve the right to learn and that education can lead to brighter, more hopeful futures. We believe that children learn best in safe and comfortable environments, where they feel welcomed. It is our responsibility to help those less fortunate than us in any way we can. In this instance we believe that we could best meet our convictions by building a school to facilitate learning in the community of Hato Nuevo to lead to brighter futures.
Objectives:
We will build a school by raising money through hard work with fundraising events and activities, and by collecting donations from our supporters.
